Hi there and welcome to Nutrinics!

My name is Nicola, a 21 year old  nutrition graduate in the UK and a lover of all things health and fitness related, especially in plant-based nutrition.

Ever since I was able to stand on a chair I have been in the kitchen assisting my mother with cooking and baking. My desire grew when I won first prize in a baking competition at the age of 10 and I realised I had a natural ability in the kitchen.

Leading a healthy lifestyle is crucially important to me and I also see keeping myself fit through regular exercise a key value. To further my knowledge and gain a deeper understanding in the way food nourishes the body, I have studied a BSc in Nutrition. I understand how important the correct nutrition is – it is required for survival and gives us fuel for the body and the brain.

This site is a space for me to share my successful recipe experiments and share scientific nutritional knowledge on what is current in the health and fitness world. I hope I can inspire others to get more adventurous in the kitchen and lead healthy and active lives.

So why another health blog? Not because it is seen as a trend but because it is something I am truly passionate about. Unfortunately there is a lot of false nutrition information on the internet with no scientific evidence. Therefore, any nutrition advice on this site will be backed by science.

Please feel free to comment below, I would love to hear from you. I am happy to answer questions you may have any help in any way I can!
